BE A PART OF THE DREAM: A LITTLE IS A LOT
Meet Golob, a sweet, sensitive soul with eyes full of curiosity and a heart that’s slowly learning the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
Golob’s story began the way too many do here in Serbia: abandoned. He and his siblings were found dumped in a box, with no mother in sight. Luckily, fate had other plans. While out on a trail ride, Nikki spotted the box and brought the puppies to safety. That’s when their new journey began.
While most of his siblings bounced back quickly, full of puppy energy and confidence, Golob was different. He was quieter, more reserved, watchful rather than wild. And while he may have earned the nickname Golob (meaning “pigeon” in Serbian) because of how adorably he pecked at his food, the name somehow stuck… and suits him in the sweetest way.
Golob has been staying up at the house to get some extra help with building confidence, learning to meet new animals, new people, and exploring new sights and sounds at his own gentle pace.
He’s still a cautious little guy, and he may always be on the more sensitive side, but that’s not a flaw. It’s part of what makes him so special.
He’s incredibly smart, sweet, and always trying his best. Every day, he opens up just a little more. He’s not the type to run into your arms right away, but give him time, patience, and kindness, and you'll earn a deeply loyal companion who will never take you for granted.
Golob would do best in a quieter home, ideally with someone who understands shy dogs and can give him the space to grow. A calm, confident dog friend might help him continue to come out of his shell, but it's not a must. What he truly needs is someone who will let him be himself.
He may not be the first dog to grab your attention, but once he has your heart, he’ll never let it go.
If you believe the quiet ones deserve just as much love as the bold ones, Golob is waiting to meet you.
