BE A PART OF THE DREAM: A LITTLE IS A LOT
Han’a’s story is one of survival, spirit, and second chances.
She came to us through our trusted partner Valentina, a dedicated rescuer in Bulgaria who specializes in Dobermans—the same person who brought us our beloved Ogi. When Han’a was just 8 weeks old, she was bought by a family who thought they were ready for a high-energy puppy. But by the time she was 3 and a half months old, they had already given up on her. Their reason? She had "too much energy."
Abandoned and confused, Han’a found herself in Valentina’s care, and not long after, with us.
But that was only the beginning of her journey.
Shortly after arriving, Han’a became gravely ill. At just 5 months old, both of her lungs collapsed, and we nearly lost her. She spent weeks fighting for her life. And fight she did.
It was through this terrifying experience that we discovered Han’a suffers from a rare, Doberman-specific genetic condition that affects her:
Blood clotting and healing – she bruises and forms hematomas and abscesses very easily
Thermoregulation – her body can’t easily regulate heat or cold
Digestive sensitivity – she requires a special diet and careful management
Despite all this, Han’a is one of the most vibrant, joyful souls we’ve ever met.
Now just over a year old, she is bursting with energy, affection, and a deep desire to connect with people. She loves to run, play, and explore, and she greets life each day with the unshakable optimism of a dog who knows she was given another chance.
Han’a is looking for a very special adopter — someone experienced, patient, and committed to giving her the care she needs to thrive. She requires:
A quiet, stress-free environment
Someone who understands and respects her medical needs
A structured routine, a proper diet, and lots of love
An adopter who is active but also able to manage her limitations (like avoiding extreme heat or cold)
In return, you’ll get a deeply loyal, incredibly affectionate companion who has already proven that she’s stronger than most. Han’a is not defined by her condition — she’s defined by her heart, and by the fire that kept her going when things looked darkest.
She deserves a home where she’ll be seen for more than just her challenges — where someone will celebrate her victories, no matter how small, and give her the life she’s fought so hard for.
🖤 Are you that someone?
